bad behavior. Men, honestly, dont you think this excuse has been used far too long ? Dont you think that women have fallen for this excuse and forgive their men becauase they actually think men cant control themselves ? I would love to hear what men think about this.

it's not an excuse, it's something your mother should have told you, it's not a cliche men use. As you grow older women come to understand that men and women are wired different, and that ultimately we tend do "what we do". You know the kind of man your dating, if you date him long enough. The suave didn't just get suave w/ you, he's been charming, and how did he get that way? It's not a gift, it's a perfected talent! Women forgive more than men because of the nurturing heart God gave y'all, men are too territorial the have there fire hydrant pissed on, we're unforgiving in that sense, and unless you meet a softer one, and if you do, you'll know it.

You are absolutely right. Men are usually slow to mature. It is no excuse and I know I have never used that cliche. Men should realize that we take it a little too far sometimes.
Women just remember that if your man loves you he will realize that he needs to grow up. If he doesnt want to grow up then you have to ask yourself if you really love him

I have a friend who was raped by some guys at a party when they spiked her drink. She ended up pregnant didnt know which one was the father and had to tell them and their parents, and fought for a trial. When she had told the parents even the moms simply said " Boys will be boys" RIDICULOUS!!! That is no excuse WHAT SO EVER!!! This saying just pisses me off. Do women have a stupid saying like this? If so I've never heard it...I think thats coz we are more mature and take responsibility for our actions. Amen for that!

And do you honestly think that women don't get excused for their ideosyncracies? When men look at each other, shrug, and say, "Women...", it is exactly the same thing.

I think both are simply a way of saying, "Ok, so we don't 'get it', but we love them anyway."

That's a broad generalization, isn't it?? I could say girls can be girls also. I don't need an excuse to act the way I am.

it is used to explain things that shouldn't need explaining. men forgive women for way more horrid things than men can even dream of doing. The most horrid ones are being demanding and nagging. And, on the way back from the kitchen, can you bring me a beer and my playboy?

We don't care what women think. As long as the excuse gets them to stop nagging us.

Yea it is an excuse and it does work. My opinion is if it still works, I am going to use it till it doesnt. Is it an excuse that should work ? Probably not.
