It is an ongoing topic, but who do you think are the best and worst celebrity role-models? (overall, or for a certain group)
And if so, have they inspired you to change? (for better or worse)

This question dosn't mean I 'worship' celebrities.
Infact, I find famous people admirable, mine would be Bob Geldof and his daughter, Peaches. Bob has done an awful lot of charity work and passionatly belives in it. Look past the 'Now' magazine cover stories, and alot of famous people use it wisley. Of course, not all do, but the question was asking who people think have! So save the whole 'loser' comments, and let people answer how they wish.

Bob Dylan would have to be the best because he wrote the most important records back during vietnam that inspired so many people to protest against it and stand up against their government and the worst their are way to many like jessica simpson, britney spears, paris and nicole, lindsay lohan, the duff sisters because their all trashy and now we have 5 year olds dressing like their teenagers because their parents are either into them or think the clothes are cute but only if they knew their 5 year old looks like a whore or going to be one when she is older...

Well, I think all celebrities are bad role models. Today's society thinks of them as our heroes. There are definitly way better role models who are not known. Like an everyday hero. Which can be a firefighter or a soldier or just even a family member. Most of the things celebrities do are just for publicity stunts. Like when they adopt a baby. People everyday adopt a baby, but they don't get any public recognition for it! But if you really want a celebrity role model....Bono and Oprah? Worst one? Paris Hilton Nicole Richie and Lindsy Lohan

I think celebrities that have been through something painful and really support it are all amazing role models, like Anastacia when she had breast cancer and she was doing the rounds at all the events supporting it, and Kylie with her cancer, people like that do celebrities proud, bad role models are everyone else, Paris, Madonna, Robbie Williams, Spears she's bad an all, they all give the impression that you have to be rich to have a good life when people like that don't deserve it because they just throw there money away etc

A good role model is someone who is not afraid to stand up for their beliefs.Without being in your face. You dont have to be famous or in the celebrity limelight to admire a role model.Mine has to be just certain everyday people who have had bad situations in life and turned their lives around and learnt from them and taught ourselves too. There is too much hype on celebrity role models.Just because they have the cash doesnt mean they have or can present good morals to ourselves or our children.Look closer to home to find the true people that inspire you.
Open your eyes and look around you.The real role models are closer than you think.

the best role model i think is angelina jolie bcoz she is adoptin children from countries that r poor 2 give them a better life!
but there is a downside to this she may also b givin them wot eva they want which is turnin them into spoilt brats
the worst role model is probs paris hilotn coz she goes out every night partyin and sometimes she doesnt even have the sense to put on a pair of knickers, which shows off her private parts when she is climbin in2 her limo drunk waitin 2 b taken home

I don't know how much youngsters take the behaviour of celebrities on board (I'd hope they've more intelligence than that) but I'd hope they wouldn't attempt to emulate celebs who take too many drugs (Pete Doherty/Kate Moss for example), are far too thin (Nicole Richie/Victoria Beckham), date a complete loser and marry too young (Britney Spears), go looking for seedy sex with strangers (George Michael) or drink too much (Amy Winehouse)

People like Dr. King, Rosa Parks, Einstein, Arther Ash, Gandhi, Bill Gates, Dickens all people that influence changed in our society for the better with technology, the way we think, the way we express ourselves.
And our parents that's the first people we look up. Who didn't idolise their mum when they we're younger? Or think their dad was the strongest man in the world? :)
Great question

George Clooney is a great celebrity role model but Tom Cruise's behaviour is kind questionable.

Celebs are not role models...
I repeat celebs are not role models in any way possible.
Why would I want to look up to a celeb for all the stupid, idotic, dumbass, things they have done? Oh, so they can party all night and do whatever the F' they want. I don't look up to Hollywood trash you people call celebs and I rather spend my time doing things that can better myself.
Celeb worshipers - Losers!!!

I think michael jordan is a top role model, he is or was the highest paid sports person on the planet but had his feet firmly on the ground (pardon the pun).
