Answer: You Can't! you will always find yourself looking around and saying, "i want to be like THAT!" when people tell you to just 'be yourself', or to 'express yourself', if they mean anything at all, then they mean that you should do what you want to do, and not what others want you to do.
OR- another way to answer the silly question: "how can i make myself different from others...?" easy. look at what they are doing, and then do the opposite. well, you asked....

For style ideas, look beyond your own country at pictures of girls from countries where the girls dress really stylishly, such as Japanese Girls, French Girls, Dutch Girls, Italian Girls, etc.
For a good attitude, be positive, talk about things that keep the mood happy, let guys and girlfriends know you like them and the things the do for you, smile more, join in any activity that might be fun, even if you're not sure its going to be fun. If you ask a typical Australian if they'll do some activity, they just go 'Yeah, I'm up for that' straight away.

The best advice I can give you is to just be you, don't ever try to be anyone else or like anyone else. Your attitude is your attitude you have to set it. and your style just whatever you feel go with it.
