Things that you don't use get neglected, atrophy and die sooner. Remember, life only goes forward. Time marches on and nothing will stop it. If you don't exercise and eat right, you will get fat, lose muscle tone and be unhealthy. If you spend your time just watching television instead of reading books and learning new things you will grow stupid, not be as sharp and be more prone to things like alzeimers disease.

lol exactly what it states,example......leaning a language, you can study a good amount and master a language,to speak fluently, but like it states.."if you dont use it,you lose it" meaning whats the point of doing anything and your not gonna use it in someway, you can learn the language like stated in my example, but whats the point if your not gonna use it to conversate with others who speak the same language, you will forget alot of things cause you arent using it..
lol saying is pretty self explanatory.

If you stop speaking a language for example, you will lose it. I stopped speaking Dutch at 12 years old, and now I can't speak it as well anymore.

when God gives us gifts, he expects us to use them. lets imagine that you have an incredible gift of painting. every time you paint somthing, the picture seems to come to life...but you're frightened by this gift and never use it. after a long time and you try to paint again, you wont have that same skill because it was wasted on you and taken away

If you don't practice what you know, in the long run you'll forget everything about it and "lose" that talent.
