Hi.
Your total cholesterol is 7.0.
What's important is your HDL level as it is the proportion of good ( HDL ) compared to bad ( LDL) that is relevant.
Remeber smoking is a much bigger risk factor for heart disease than cholesterol as is diabetic status, blood pressure, age and family history.
No Dr would consider prescribing to you without considering ALL the facts.
On its own a cholesterol of 7.0 is in no way "dangerous."

A large part of this mechanism was clarified by Dr Michael S. Brown and Dr Joseph L. Goldstein in the 1970s. They received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their work in 1985.[3]
The average amount of blood cholesterol varies with age, typically rising gradually until one is about 60 years old. There appear to be seasonal variations in cholesterol levels in humans, more, on average, in winter.[4]

There are other causes for strokes and heart attacks than just cholesterol and blood pressure, one being tiny holes in the heart that throw off blood clots. A-fibrillation of the heart's rhythm is another. Smoking is another biggie that can cause heart issues that can led to strokes.
