did u take ur bird to an avian vet? not a normal vet, ones who only deal with birds? a groth coming out of an eye in my books wouldnt go away on its own? a friend of mine had to have her parrots eye removed because of this, did they give u any anti inflam/anti biotics????? they should have done, if ur still concerned ring them and tell them you aint happy with what they said.

I would not be happy with what your own vet said. Can you not contact a more specialist avian vet? Birdkeeper magazines have list in it. Also your local Vet School may be able to help

You should listen to the vet but also think of other things that might be stopping the healing.Maybe your budgie is scratching it.Maybe if you have another bird in the cage that bird might be pecking at it.Pay close attention to it and your bird should be ok.

if it isn't getting better like the vet said it would, then try a different vet to see if they might have a different oppinion. explain to them what the last vet said and go from there. best of luck I hope your sweet little budgie gets better.

Birds, like all animals have a habit of scratching with their feet. That growth could be a scratch which is healing. If the vet says it should go then it is nothing alarming.

take it to a proper avian vet. Normal vets know nothing about birds.
