I have a question for Mormons only: I have been keeping a record of the false prophecies by both Joseph Smith & Brigham Young. My question is, "If your religious leaders have false prophecies, how do you justify still following them?"
I mean this question with all due respect, I am curious if there is some perspective you have here that would help me understand you better.

Chaos- I never would say that the LDS church & Christianity are the same. They are vastly different on their theology, even on the most basic elements as to who Jesus is & the character of God.

When I was a Mormon, they would come up with excuses and the membership would believe it, it was the new and improved revelation. The Mormons believe that new revelation can be revealed also, so they still believe in polygamy, they just don't want to go to jail. They don't do it, because of the laws of the land. Most of these people are so mind controlled and indoctrinated they can't see straight anyways and will believe anything they are told. Believe, me I use to believe them. When blacks wer allowed in the church it was new revelation, and when women could finally get their endowments in the temple without husbands, that excuse was, we are letting our widows go to hell, well lets change that. Mind control, indoctrination etc is why they still follow them. Also being told you are a God in the making or some of the men already thought they were a God, made them stay around.

You have been keeping a list? Are you kidding me?
I am sure on your "list" are the typical "false prophecies" that all anti-mormons have...try looking on farmsresearch.com, they have all the typical ones listed with answers...with a lot of other "questions" people have concerning the LDS faith.
It sounds like you already have your mind made up and aren't really looking for truthful answers, rather you are just trying to slander the church.
Here's what farmsresearch says...
Did Joseph Smith utter false prophecies?
Most of the "false prophecies" that critics attribute to Joseph Smith
are not prophecies at all, but commandments that were not obeyed either because
the Latter-day Saints were not faithful or because their enemies prevented them
from doing so. For example, though the Lord commanded the Saints to built a temple
in Independence, they were expelled from Jackson County and later from the state
of Missouri. After the Saints had settled at Nauvoo, Illinois, the Lord told the
prophet Joseph Smith:
Verily, verily, I say unto you, that when I give a commandment to any of the
sons of men to do a work unto my name, and those sons of men go with all their
might and with all they have to perform that work, and cease not their diligence,
and their enemies come upon them and hinder them from performing that work,
behold, it behooveth me to require that work no more at the hands of those sons
of men, but to accept of their offerings. (D&C 124:49-?*)
There are similar statements in the Bible. For example, the prophet Isaiah
told King Hezekiah, "Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order: for
thou shalt die, and not live" (2 Kings 20:1). But after the king pleaded
with the Lord, the prophet delivered a new message, saying that 15 years would
be added to his life. The Lord told Moses that he would destroy the Israelites
and make of Moses a greater nation than they. When Moses protested that this
would be wrong, the Lord changed his mind (Numbers 14:11-20).

Sure take the Holy Trinity if 1+1+1=1 what kind of sense does that make. How can Christians be little more than God fearing atheist. Either Joesph Smith was right or Christianity as a whole is false.

Those who look at Joseph Smith with a Berean spirit (Acts 17:11) find him to be a conman very quickly. But Mormons don't "search the Scriptures" like the Bereans did. They pray for a "burning in the bosom" to determine "truth". Sadly, with such a subjective standard for "truth", heartburn may be mistaken for revelation.
Until the Holy Spirit unveils their eyes, they will continue to blindly follow whatever their leadership tells them. Sad.

This is what you are doing with your free time? Oh brother... find something else. People have been trying to disprove the church for years and it will never happen.
I have never heard one false Prophesy. Not one in my 16 yrs in the church.
Sorry to disapoint you. But there are many that have come to pass and many more yet to come.
Get a life-
