I do not believe that hell is either. The concept of hell was introduced into the christian doctrines well after the time of Jesus. It has been used as a scare tactic and a way to control the members of the church into doing and behaving the way the Church wants them to. It is the same principle used by Hindus to control its members by saying that if you are bad you will reincarnate in an animal body. Both concepts are untrue. In one of the other answers you received it states that hell is in your mind. There are many who will agree with this. We create our own hell right here on earth.
God gave us the ability to create for ourselves. Change the way you think, act, speak and you can eliminate hell from your life. I don't mean you personally here, this goes for anyone and everyone.

Hell is a place for the dammed. Those that have forsaken the Lord and lived a life of negativity and pain that people have inflicted amongst themselves. It's a holding place for sinners that will not repent. It's a form of punishment and an act of responsibility. The fact that in life you have two choices to make. You can do what's right or do what's wrong. So, I'd chose to live productively so I won't see hell's kitchen.

Punishment. Most people hell is the place you go to to be punished for your un-Godly and sinful life.
Jews however do not believe in Hell. A couple of other beliefs dont believe in it either because they see God as all-forgiving.

Catholics believe in Purgatory which is the rehabilitation place you may be talking about. Catholics believe it is a place where God gives them a second chance to atone for their sins in life. You may also heard of this place referred to as 'limbo'.

It can't be rehabilitation because you never get out of it and it never ends. So there would be no value to fixing the person. What good would it do to have "rehabilitated" people continuing to suffer for eternity? That's God for you, a literal eternity of torture for a few mistakes made on earth.

It's certainly not a rehabilitation place, there is no improvement taking place there. It's a destination, a final destination for those who chose not to believe and have faith in Christ. The words of Christ speak about the pain and anguish that exists there.

In Islam, it is somewhat of a rehabilitation process. Once there, if a person has not been too bad, he can call to G-d that there is no G-d but G-d, and repent, and be taken to heaven.

Hell is a theory, not an actual place. If you are in a bad place in your life, you are in hell, in your own mind. There is no more a hell of lake of fire and brimstone than the Emerald City of Oz.

Jahannam is a punishment for all unbelievers of Islam among other people like murders, etc. It's not supposed to be a reward for bad people.

Neither; it is a place of rest or sleep, until the resurrection.

Then death and hell will release all those held captive therein. After that they will be destroyed in the Lake of Fire.

"And the sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Hell gave up those dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds. And death and Hell were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire."
