Doubt it has anything to do with a womans ability to withstand physical stress.. More likely politics, social beliefs and / or the desire to protect the few aircraft they have..

Only recently have women in the US been introduced to fighter aircraft. Previously they were limited to transport category. I believe Israel has had women pilots right along, or at least since the 60's.
India likely doesn't allow it for cultural reasons. Same with all Islamic nations.

My Girl Friends is flight commander Geeta Dutta of the 104th airborne of the IAF. She is one of the top pilots in her Batalion.

Does that answer your question?

By the way I think you have a superficial superiorority complex towards women that stems from a deep seated inferiorority complex about yourself. Could it be that in a certain department, that would fall just south of the seat belt, you dont quite measure up?? or do you have a case of the teeny weany peepee??

It's strictly politics. Women are as good as pilots as men are, even in fighters.

I asked a female fighter jock about it once -- how she got herself into the "killer mindset" needed as an effective fighter pilot. She explained it pretty succinctly, "I just picture the bastard as being between me and my kids. After that, it's pretty much automatic." Far be it from me to argue with that!

Actually, as far as physical, women make better pilots in planes that pull high G's, because their shorter height means their heart is closer to their brain, so the heart doesn't have to work as hard to keep blood pumped to the brain during high G maneuvers.
