I've always been tieing up my hair and then just sticking the chopsticks in the bun, but I've been wanting to learn how to just take two sticks and twist them around my hair to make a bun without and hairties or elastics.

Take your hair in your hand like you were going to put in a low ponytail. Then twist is pretty tight and turn it around and around the base of where your ponytail would start if you had a band in it. Hold it while you get one chopstick stick it in in the top right side of the bun and kinda do an in-and-out zig-zag until it is equally sticking out on the top and bottom ... this should hold it for you to get the second stick.. but it will prolly take you a few tries.. Then get the next stick and repeat starting on the top left.

It takes alot of practice but I can do mine with only 1 stick (though thats usually a last resort when I can't find a band and I use a pencil =p) This will prove alot more difficult if you have hair that is not slightly longer than shoulder length. Hope this helps!

This is really hard to explain via typing... but I'll try. The key is to start wrapping around one chopstick to your head, and use the other chopstick to hold the bun in place. You have to wrap in one direction, then reverse direction right before your head and stick it in. Hope this will help you at least try!
