The only Touareg I've ever seen in my life belongs to my snooty neighbor who has everything, and they are heavily overpriced, and according to this website: http://aolsvc.edmunds.com/apps/vdpcontainers/do/ViewTypeModels/category=type/attribute=suv/category2=market/attribute2=diesel they placed below the 2006 Hummer H1 Alpha in most sold vehicles. Volkswagen needs to stop beating the same old dead horse with a stick and get rid of the old to make room for the new if you ask me.

EVERYTHING is overpriced....it's all what the market will bear.
You should resolve some of the issues of what's makes your neighbor an @ss, or why you can't get along.
They are actually quite nice inside to drive.

The VW Touareg is the best SUV ever made. A couple of VW engineers believed that the Touareg had enough engine power to pull a 747... and... they were right. Then, a british car show did the test. The results were successful. Watch it yourself at YouTube.

The Toureg IS NEW..... Just came out like 2 years ago. Yes they are higher priced than an american suv, cuz they are german and imported, you would get the same from Volvo, Merceds and BMW. SO they arent beating an old horse when the SUV is NEW. I would buy one but I like bigger SUV's and I do like VW. My wife owns a new Beetle. Dont knock VW until you have owned one, they are very good autos... ;)

I used to sell VW's and you'd be surprised. They sell well. You are essentially getting a Porsche Ceyanne (same chasis, and a lot of the same parts) for 20k less dollars. In my opinion, its one of the best SUV's on the road, as far as performance and capabilities. I would much rather have a touareg, for the money, than a mercedes ml, or a bmw.

you need to specify which version of the touareg pulled the airplane. That was the new V10 TDI model with full time allwheel drive and 553lbs of torque. the V8 or the V6 couldn't have done that.
They are very nice SUVs if you have the money. I like them just fine.

Gee, the British said that when VW was first introduced on the West Coast. Didn't it show them. I don't own a Hillman or Envoy or others I can't remember.

First, no one asked you. Secondly they keep making and selling it because it sells, and makes them a profit, the same reason any manufacturer makes anything.
