Who wouldn't want to leave all that behind, get rid of it and just move out to the middle of no where to be among nature and the beauty of the world without having to worry about hell or heaven? Just live out the rest of your pathetic, meaningless excistance in peace and harmony of nature.

Absolutely ,Its just us down here screwing things up still believing in ridiculous superstitions passed down from ignorant people who had no clue about science physics and astronomy,and weather patterns . People who couldn't face the fact that their problems were of their own doing and good things that happened were also of their own doing

Because someone has to do the work to relieve poverty and get medicines to third world countries and help victims of mass tragedy here as well. Check and see who is still in New Orleans and Alabama helping out.
I personally find a great deal of pleasure and peace in the harmony of nature; but what does this have to do with organized religion. If it were a form of religion or a part of a belief system it would be a personal relationship with a higher power, not an organized one.
Tell me, what makes your life so non-pathetic or meaningless? Do you feed and clothe the poor and tend to their health needs? Do you rebuild homes for the homeless?
I did not come here to have to defend the Christians or any other group, but let's watch how we speak of others please and not be throwing sticks and stones. They do not win arguments or debates, just makes you look foolish.

Jesus is the One who started organized religion of the Christian faith. Unfourtunatly mankind screwedthat up just like Jesus said they would after His death. Jesus also said that there would be a people with the truth {of the Bible] in the time of the end of this world as we know it. Not the planet.Those people are in every country on this earth preaching the Good News of the Kingdom!Mankind has removed himself from the truth of the Bible with his false teachings and traditions of man.Jesus said that His sheep will hear His voice at this time now.Have any idea who these preachers of the truth are?

Perhaps your existence is pathetic and meaningless but that doesn't make someone else's the same. I prefer to live according to the standards of Christ Jesus and ask the Holy Spirit to help me so that my existence will mean something and possibly make someone else's life better for my having lived.

im sorry you think your life is pathetic and meaningless, and, you know, you could still do all that and believe. i've never had to worry about heaven or hell because i know which one im going to. it's really not hard to be christian. it's a much better, more fulfilling life for me, but that's my opinion and i respect your opinion. if you don't want to believe that's fine but you really shoudn't try to push your beliefs on everyone else.
