Don't get upset, but yes I have .you must not of had tried every treatment there is or you would'nt be writeing yahoo aswers. .There are ways for them to remove them.If the doctor you are seeing or the doctors you are seeing told you they could'nt fix the problem go elseware some doctors are just lazy and don't want to help.If you have to go to another town do it.It seems to me that in this day and age a kidney stone would be routine.I ran into a similar problem in Tuson Arizona .I had Siactric nerve damage and was in terrible pain and every doctor I saw said that I was a drug addict seeking drugs to get high on.Man I tell you it was a nightmare.I wen't through probally about 50 doctors and even had one call the police on me because he told the police that I was just after drugs and that was why I was in his clinic. But I did finally after going through all those doctors finally found a doctor that went out of his way to help me.But I tell you those other doctors really changed the way view doctors. You have to really
search to find a good one because most of them if they can't make a large buck off you won't waste there time.So my advice just keep searching.it will work out.

ow ow ow, Mr.GorgeousFluffpot had a kidney stone in the summer when we were on holiday in France Sudden violent pain, ambulance in the middle of the night, wired up to a morphine drip. Two women doctors said it was worse than childbirth. You should get a stone analysed for its composition, which can tell you a lot. In France, it is a matter of routine and it came back with a results list of foods that may have caused the stone. The most common cause is dehydration - not drinking enough especially in the summer. Strawberries, apparently, can set them off!!!! There is a treatment suggested on the internet, sorry cannot remember the site, which says that when the pain starts you should drink a little and jump, and jump several times. TRUE. I looked at this site and it made sense, I found it through Google.
Good luck, if you find a 100% rememdy will you please let us all know.
Mr. GorgeousFluffpot is still wincing as he remembers the pain!

I have given birth many times, and I will tell you that renal colic is far worse than giving birth. It is excrutiating pain. I went to the hospital and I suggest you do the same since you will need an IV drip with pain medication until the kidney stone passes down into your bladder. The pain is caused by the stone moving from the kidney down the ureter. That is what is causing your pain. Once the stone has reached the bladder, the pain goes away. Good luck.

Oh yeah Ive had three kidney stones at one time! Every treatment? Thats not good Im assuming your seeing a urinalyisis specialist then and he has sent electric waves through you to break up the stones if they were to big! Im sorry you havent passed them yet... Mine took a month to pass and it was not a fun time! I ended up seeing a urinalysis and he prescribed me a purple pill that turns your urine bright orange (which means you cannot wear contacts because it will stain the lenses) that helped control my urge to go to the bathroom constantly... I was also prescribed Vicodin and had a shot they gave me in the but! All you can do is wait it out unfortunatley... Make sure to strain your urine everytime you take a leak in order to catch the stones if you pass them (this will allow the lab to take a look at them so they can better inform you of what could have caused the stones)... Once you pass them almost immediatley the pain is gone... Hang in there! Just make sure to drink alot of water and stay hydrated all the time to help keep your kidneys flushed! I ended up getting mine more or less from binge drinking... Serves me right I suppose! Take care of yourself if you have any other questions let me know!
PS... Take the morphine oh you need it mine was so painful that I was vomitting (was also hung over at the same time) I had to have alot of morphine and it took two hours too kick in... Most painful thing I have experienced thus far! Had more stones then I thought tho!

The gold standard is voltarol supposititories. However some have needed morphine.Treatments depend on the size of the stone.Very small ones can pass out in the urine and one needs to drinks a lot of water.Others need something called lithotripsy, in which sonar is used to break up the stone.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.
They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!
This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.
It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

This is a painful but usually short lived process as the stone passes. If you are having multiple stones, your urologist can recommend diets and medications or surgery as needed.
