I broke up with my ex-bf 3yrs ago right after high school, I was young and just wanted to experience something new. I ran into him last year around Christmas time and fell right back in love. He had a g/f at the time but left her for me because he says he was waiting for me all those years and couldnt wait to be with me again. I didnt know he had a g/f until after we spent a few days together. Then he went back and forth (he says he couldnt just leave her that way) and finally said he just wants to be single but when he is ready to settle down I will be the one he wants to be with. He still tells me he loves me and doesnt want to lose me again but we can only be friends. He just txt me while I am typing this.

Everyone tells me he is probably afraid of getting hurt again or maybe he is just having problems in his life right now!

I need some answers from men please! I am a strong person and I can move on, but I'm afraid that I might miss my chance with him.

This is fate paying you back for you indiscretions. Most likely you hurt him badly and acted like he was a fool because he still cared. hes waiting for your penance and basically want you to beg and hurt like he did.
Even if you do, which you should, it probably won't last because of he's waiting for you to do it again.
This is a common result of being young, in love and stupid. (we all go through it)
Go the extra mile and make reparations. Do special things to let him know you are sorry.
What is the real story though. Why did you really break up with him? Was it to go to another man? Do you have a habit of jumping ship after things get old? If so, leave him alone. He deserves better.

He is straggleling you along for the ride! If he really wanted to be with you, he would. Like most men then "say" things, but don't "act" on them because they are waiting for something else. If that something else doesn't come around then he probably will consider being with you.

Move on.

There is nothing wrong with having feelings for him, but with all of that "water under the bridge", things are different now than they were then. Don't expect to relive the past...especially since he's already got someone else in his life now too.

He may be fondly remembering your time together also, but it would be best to simply remain friends and remember that special time you had together.
