I had a wisdom tooth that hit the gum and broke through. Every time it hurt, it would hurt for about five days then stop. When it broke the gum, I started getting infections. Took antibiotics several times before I had the thing pulled. I was 35 when I had it pulled, had infections for 10 years.
Pulling the tooth was really nothing, but I have a deathly fear of needles. It took alot of my courage to go in there. I went to a dental clinic in a hospital incase something goes wrong, I'm a nut.
If you are afraid, find a dental facility within a hospital where if God forbid something goes wrong, you right there. Good luck and get it out.

It is possible to have wisdom tooth at age 25, and its common it give ache. Can also cause swelling, pain can also be felt in sleep and painkillers do not help. Severe headaches.
I suggest you see dentist, because sometimes wisdom teeth do not have enough space (dependng on the facial structure).
I had my wisdom tooth pull out last month, because of same reason and had stiches taken off after a week of surgery.
You need to check with your doctor, if pain is unbareable you need immidiate attention, see if you have to go through surgery or maybe for time being local anesthesia would work.
Wisdon teeh are strong and big compared toother teeth, hope you dont have to lose them.

yea, i had mine coming thru for a few years with no pain but at 23,the pain started, so i guess its normal. Get them pulled...best thing. Go under general anaesthesia and get all 4 done at the same time. Jaw might hurt abit afta cos they rip ur mouth open during the procedure..butchers!! oops i mean dentists. They serve no real purpose in life except to cause toothaches anyway.

Most of mine have come through but they weren't THAT painful. I know that they can be painful, but I can't believe people are saying it's normal - surely it can't be normal for you to be in so much pain!!! And having all of them out just for the sake of it seems a bit drastic too! If I were you, I'd get it checked out by a dentist and let him/her advise you as to what's best for you.

My boyfriend had his wisdom teeth coming through a while ago and he was in agony (well you know, he complained a lot) but he went to the dentist and they said it might be in the wrong place or something and he had to wait until it had grown until they could pull it out, which seemed pretty useless so I wouldn't bother going there! I gave him some baby teething stuff and lots of jelly and ice cream and it seemed to help, give it a go :-)

I am not a dentist, but i have read that wisdom tooth sometimes cause pain when it grows on an improper place on your gums. You better visit your dentist right away to get the best solution to your problem.

Pain levels in people vary, some pain is normal.
Excessive pain is not......could be an abcess caused by the erupting (thru the gum line) tooth. Only a dentist can tell you for sure.

It's normal, this is why so many people get them extracted. Mine were removed when I was around your age...I was like 23, 24, something like that. No biggie...go see your dentist, depending on whether or not they are impacted, he may do it himself or send you to an oral surgeon. Definitely nothing to worry about, and it will get rid of the pain and allow you to eat normal again.

Yer sorry, but it often hurts. The urting when swallowing sounds a little worrying so would be worth a small trip to the dentist just in case.
