I need help with Melatonin dosage?

Question

I have been taking 4 x 300 mcg per pills to help me sleep, but the new bottles which we bought are 3mg per pill. How many of these should we take to get the above dosage? Very confused. Thank you.

4x300 mcg = 1200 mcg = 1.2 milligrams (mg).

umm...split the new pill in half, that's the best i can give you. you'll be getting 1.5 mg, but i don't think it's practical to split this pill any other way.

well i think u must take half a pill or if u r taking 2 pills per day,just make it one..

Melatonin is practically nontoxic and exhibits almost no toxic side effects.Melatonin causes somnolence, and therefore should not be taken within five hours before driving, operating machinery, etc. As melatonin is almost always taken at the end of the waking day, this is generally not an issue
