Like it or not these countries have relied on leaders like Saddam for centuries to maintain "harmony".
There are various sects and power plays in place that have often called for a brutal hand to keep in check. This is not new , ever since Hammurabai has this country been a basket case.
I dont condone what Saddam or his cronies have done , one little bit, but taken in the context of history Saddam is the sort of leader that these people have always been able to relate to and in most cases needed.
The country is now a basket case and several hundreds of years of old scores and hatreds will be unleased in a violence Americans couldnt even comprehend.
Iraq is about to see armmageddon and Americans will be fair game.At home and in Iraq.
This country was stable , had education, jobs and a workable infrastructure. it wasnt perfect by western eyes but it worked and was sustainable.
Funnily enough apart from the invasion of Kuwait and the threat to George Bushs SNR oil investments there Iraq wasnt even a blip on the radar.
Dont forget Iraq has never raised a finger against the US directly, Iran has caused the US more political hurt until now.
America went to war on a lie and will withdraw on lie.
In the end just like Vietnam the Politicians will bravely blame the Military for the failure.
Thanks to the invasion they have now have "democracy" and chaos.
If America and its puppets , sorry allies, get out of there real soon they will all be fair game.
Iraq is about to sink into an Arabic civil war of biblical proportions with no quarter given or asked .
The blood bath hasnt even come close to starting yet!

Well I'm an australian so they not my troops, although there are australian troops there but they belong to the australian state not me. I'm not at war with Iraq, my stupid government which i didn't even ask for is at war with Iraq. I hate nationalism, it's as bad as religion. Anyone who loves a flag has a serious mental problem, try loving people. Oh, I know, but but but the terrorists attacked us, well terrorists have been attacking people through out history, sometime a terrorist is dropping a bomb of civilians in Hiroshima, sometimes a terrorist is a crusader stabbing an Arab because a priest told him too, sometimes a terrorist is a Viking raiding a Christian monastry. Just depends on your perspective. Though if you love countries rather than people well your had your head shrink wapped in a flag so where as the Japanese school girls on there way to school in Nagasaki might have been terrorfied by the A-bomb blowing them to bits but if your an american you provably think that was bloody wonderful. If they hang Saddam it wont make an inch of difference. Just another stupid war, more blood and misery for a world devided by nations and religions.

As sala'amu alei'kum, aziza.
[Arabic :Peace and Blessings be upon thee, friend.]
Verily, the hanging of Saddam Hussein will have repercussions with violent reactions of the Ba'athists. The Shi'as and the Kurds will, also, join in on the blood-bath, because they will be the targets.
Your American Government would do very well to pull it's troops out of there at that time; because they will be the ones caught in the cross fire.
I pray for your son or daughter or whoever of your beloved ones you have there, ya aziza; for I can understand the pain of fear and concern that you must be suffering , right now.
May Allah, the Most Merciful, the Beneficient, protect your loved ones.
Ma sala'amah, ya aziza.

I think that our Glorious Dictator President Bush needs to set a non violent example and not have Saddam hung. Simple as that. We need to show the world that we aren't some crazy revenge hungry country. Keep him in Jail forever yeah...but hanging him will only make us look even more barbaric then we really are.

The only sensible thing to do would be to leave Saddam go and let him restore order in Iraq.
This can never happen because bush would have to admit that he was wrong.
Something he can't seem to do.

I think it may be time to stand back and let these people sort this out themselves. You have Baths killing Shite killing Sunni. They're all supose to be of the same religion that they claim is peaceful. What are we supose to do? Praying is all that's left.
