According to the insurance companies these dogs you should have liability insurance for the following breeds.
Many types of dogs have been classified as dangerous breeds. These dog breeds, usually larger dogs, receive high-profile media coverage and are blamed for most dog bite attacks in the country. As a result, many homeowners associations put restrictions on certain dog breeds, and some municipalities have gone as far as to ban specific breeds. At the very least, a growing number of communities demand that owners of these so-called "dangerous breeds" invest in liability insurance for their animal. The problem is, most carriers of homeowners insurance won't cover dogs on the black list.
Pit Bulls
Rottweilers
Chow Chows
Doberman Pinchers
German Shepherds
Siberian Huskies
Persa Canarios
Alaskan Malamutes
Akitas
Boxers
Great Danes
Wolf-hybrids

I do not know if you are asking about homeowners insurance or actually pet insurance. You can look on the website at different companies to get dog insurance.

There are some companies you can look at. Not all are offered in the state of Florida though. There are different types of coverage and what is offered.
I currently have accidental pet insurance for my puppy. I find that because of her breed (min pin) she is prone to a lot of accidents (sprains, broken legs). So I pay is a copay and the cover everything else. Good Luck

beginning this twelve months, pit bulls are unlawful in all 3 counties of south Florida. First, locate out if the place you reside will enable them. As for coverage, touch an coverage broking provider, they are able to enable you to recognize who covers animals & possibly even provide you a quote on the fee.

pit bulls are illegal in most counties in florida if not in the whole state. so if you are caught with one you could face a big fine.
i think that is the stupidest thing that i have ever heard of. no one should be able to ban a breed of dog just because some of them are aggresive to other dogs.
you will not find many that are aggresive to people because all they want to do is make their owner happy.
i love this breed and hate the undeserved bad rap that they are getting

If you feel the need to get pit bull insurance, I hope its for medical, because if its for the possiblility of it attacking someone, then its time to get rid of the dog.

Check the new laws in FL., and several states.
New laws allow insurance companies to refuse pit bull insurance as well as many other breeds.
