There is a dead mouse somewhere in my office. The smell is horrific. Can this make me sick?

It can make you throw up and make you light-headed. A dead animal breeds bacteria so it's definitely not good for anyone. Try having the maintenance look for it is the best solution or do it yourself. How can you stand the smell of a dead animal?

Mice are disease carriers, so your office should really take care of this problem. As for you picking up that sickness through smell, it really isn't going to happen. You can, however, become sick to the stomach due to the smell. Once at my office, we had a raw sewage problem. I got sick right away and had to go home...other people weren't bothered and stayed at work.

They stink don't they? Maybe you can follow your nose to the mouse, but it might have died in some place that's inaccessible. Buy some air freshener, and hope that it dries up quickly. I don't think you can catch a disease from the smell, but you may not feel like eating for a few days.

never heard of anyone ever getting sick in some years as a pest manager put some vix vapour rub under your nose smell will subside after a couple of days if you cant find rodent or by an animal deodoriser and spray around room.smells rank eh.
