I've noticed Peter Griffen from Family Guy keeps on making veiled references to the Hebrew text of Mathew's Gospel. Could the animators be talking about the second coming?

haha, you don't watch the show that much then. The writers OBVIOUSLY lean more towards atheism (I have seen every episode). Did you see the one where Peter taught the Sunday School class?
It shows him reading a story to a group of small kids in a circle...
Peter reads from the book "And if you are good in heart and deed, you will go to a magical place called heaven where everyone loves each other. Doesn't that sound great!?"....(then peter laughs really hard and says to the children) "I'm just yanking ya, you really just rot in the ground", and then he laughs again as all the children gasp in horror.......I love it, hilarious!

Look at Peter's father, a devout Christian that is used for an unending stream of jokes on religious fundamentalists. (Did you see the one where Peter brings home the Pope? He says in that one that he is a Catholic)

Did you see the one called "I need a Jew" where Peter tries to get Chris to convert to Judaism because he thinks that all Jews grow up to be smart and rich?

Family Guy pokes fun at ALL faiths

Oh yawn. Another, 'let's jibe about Christians and mock their faith because they are easy targets' kind of rant.
The world has been doing this for thousands of years, so there is nothing new about this programme. It is the same tired old baleful stuff the Romans were doing 1900 years ago, except they were a little less mealy mouthed and more blood thirsty.
My advice to you is to draw close to Jesus for a time is coming when this veiled vindictiveness will manifest itself as a destructive spirit wanting vengeance for the disaster about to befall this planet. And who do you think will get the blame? God and His companions. Get ready for the final winepress. They are doomed to follow their own desires and they will not know why evil has overtaken them. Family guy, which I've seen clips to once, seems very irreverent! Nothing at ALL to do with GOD!
