Interesting- we are trying to "free" other countries as the Bush administration has made every attempt to take freedom from it's own citizens. Our freedom is pushing our country into the abyss- skyrocketing debt, starving poor, and an ever widening gap between the classes. Perhaps we should try to get "freedom" right, before we decide to spread it. Neighboring countries don't feel the threats that the US fabricates, for if they were real threats, they would be dealt with accordingly.

Do the Us citizens really feel free? If they travel to Europe, they will see that they are more free to do things without worrying about others. In the Us you have to watch every single thing you do or you can either be reported, be sued, fined, or imprisoned. The drinking age, no spanking your children, no walking around with an open bottle of alcohol, quiet hours, being sued for serving coffee hot without a warning label, where Bill Clinton went under fire for something he did relating to his personal life and in no way with those actions did he put the country at risk, three strikes law, etc...
Neighboring countries are happy with their laws and don't need someone telling them how to run their country. The US is a huge power and no one wants to be their enemy, but to force "freedom" is actually forcing their way of controlling a population.

America will only "liberate" A country which they have an economic interest is, or one that will benefit the American economy. You actually won't see America troops dealing with genocide in the Sudan, or east Timor. There is nothing being done about civil and economic upheaval in Haiti. America continues to support Uzbekistan, who's dictator passed a law prohibiting anybody from running against him in elections. When the citizens took to the streets to protest this new legislation, the army was called in and around 1,000 people were killed.
Yet we get all up in arms that 20 years ago Saddam Hussein killed a bunch of Kurds with weapons purchased from the USA. We call it a liberation, we have freed the people from a tyrant who our government at one point, supported and considered an ally.

There is no end to the amount of answers to that.
1. The US is the richest most poweful country in the world and have never been occupied by enemy forces.
2. We aim to keep it that way.
There's a lot of ingredients that make up the U.S. Many of them are secret. Wars can be fought for peace, hard to understand but it's true. Wars can be fought for money, a simple answer but not always the case. The death and pain of war is a horrible thing but historically it is simply human nature to do such things. I think most of the news is BS. If we had all the answers we would go crazy. Hop in the shoes of a soldier, a refugee, a president and that is the only way to know. There's probably not tanks and mortar fire on your street. That's got to count for something.

Europeans won't in any respect open their borders to friends, just to companion countries in a unified Europe. it particularly is in basic terms like in america between the states. so which you have that already for an prolonged time. If we open the borders we would have much extra immigrants, it particularly is the reason we've a strict coverage in Europe, in basic terms like in america. certainty verify : Any united states available that particularly cares approximately friends ? i do no longer think of so ! friends are in basic terms interesting whilst they may well be commercially exploited or used politically to stand a third capability or whilst they are in basic terms a effective risk-free untreathing neighbor . it is how the worldwide works.

What neigbouring countries are you referring to? I would hope you're not even thinking Canada. In case you didn't notice, we're overseas as well.
The U.S. feels the need to "free" every country, as you say, perhaps because they want every country to be like the U.S. (liberated and prosperous). However, they tend to use the "bully" approach, hence the reason why EVERYONE on the other side of the world hates the U.S.
Personally, I feel the U.S. should mind their own business and stop worrying about other countries when they should stop and look at their own country. Racism is alive and well and I'm still not impressed with the U.S.' reaction to Hurricane Katrina. It seems that the only way to live in the U.S. is if you're loaded!!!

Man I am sick of this wasted rheortic. Seriously, I guess if you were around during WW2. You would have protested America stepping into WW2. Knowing full well what the Nazi's were doing.
Come on now, America has never freed any country. I do recall the Iraqi Army giving up and America ousting Saddam.
Afganistan harbored terrorists: U gotta go.
I will never understand any of it. But, I seriously wish the terrorists would get off their butt and hit something else in America or in the world. So, you retards would know they are still out there wantting to kill people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

US only "frees" countries where we may have a political, strategicaly, or financial advantage. knowledge is power and one area the US was weak in was the Middle East. Why do you think we tried so hard in Vietnam? There were natural resources there plus the closeness to China helps too.

I for one refuse to ever feel guilt again for being a citizen of America. We live in a nation capable of such goodness, such compassion and great acts. We are also capable of dealing out punishment and death on a scale never before seen. We use that ability very carefully. When the guy next door is beating the hell out of his wife, do you sit idly by and do nothing? I don't. The very least I do is call the law, then head over to attempt to diffuse the situation. Failing that, I punch the guy between the eyes till he stops hitting her or until he drops to his knees.
Just because you live across the street from that guy and don't want to be bothered with going over to stop him, don't believe that every neighbor feels the same.

Ask yourself "What are their natural resources? What major multinational corporation stands to make the most money by the country being "free"?" In other words, under US control?
