my BF gifts his 1st gift 2 me: a T-shirt. I try it on & it looks daft. i lie that i luv the T- shirt. he is delighted & he invites me on a date and asks me 2 wear the T- shirt. I can't wear it.....i just can't. & the date is 2nite

Either wear the shirt and put a jacket on top of it. Or tell him the truth about the shirt and see what happens.

Nothing good ever comes from a lie. If you feel you have to lie and can't be honest about a simple thing as a t-shirt, what chance does your relationship really have? Tell your boyfriend that you appreciate his thought behind the gift but you really don't like the t-shirt. In other words, tell the truth. Have a very blessed and Happy New Year. Peace.

Gee how about being honest with your boyfriend??? Is that such a horrible concept? Tell him that you appreciate his gift greatly but that the t-shirt just isnt your taste. Honesty is always the best policy. BUT...if you cant seem to be honest then dress more fancy and tell him that the tee shirt was too drab to wear on a date!

Tell him that you like the T-shirt to wear as a casual thing around the home. But that it is not appropriate to wear on a night out.
Give him a lesson on what a person should wear when going out.

Intentionally stain the t-shirt and wore something else. Bring it to show him and tell him you will keep it as a remembrance. Next time tell him the truth so you don't get into trouble with lies. To be honest is hard at first but both of you will be at peace in awhile.

For goodness sake, tell him the truth, tell him that it doesnt fit, it doest look good and that you would prefer to wear something that you are comfortable in. You should never have said you loved it, now you are just going to get more of the same. Better break it gently and tell him it is not really your style but you felt obligated to tell him you loved it but want only truth between you.

If its cold where you live tell him you wanted to wear something a little warmer, like a long sleeve shirt, b/c you didnt want to be cold. It could work!
