Puppy sneezing is the same principle as our own, however some breeds like the Bichons do what is called reverse sneezing and I shall describe it now.
Both harmless dont worry.
Reverse sneeze syndrome is characterized by a series of rapid, loud, forced inhalations through the nostrils, lasting anywhere from 10 seconds to 2 minutes. Attacks occur on a sporadic, unpredictable basis. Dogs usually have the head extended forward and stand still during the episode. Affected dogs appear completely normal before and after the attack. There is no loss of consciousness or collapse, though sometimes the appearance of the dog is upsetting to owners. Many dogs have these attacks throughout their lives. The exact cause of reverse sneezing is unknown, but it may be associated with sinusitis and other upper respiratory disorders. Many believe affected dogs are consciously removing mucus from the nasal passages. In fact, many dogs swallow at the end of the attack. Whatever the cause, the condition is usually not serious. If the condition appears suddenly in an older dog or if episodes become more severe or frequent, the nasal passages and throat should be examined.
Important Points in Treatment
Treatment is not necessary when the episodes occur infrequently on a random basis.
Home treatments that have been reported to be successful include massaging the throat, blowing in the nose, and rapidly and lightly compressing the chest.
Notify the Doctor if Any of the Following Occur:
· The Severity or frequency of your pet's attacks changes.
· Your pet develops a nasal discharge or a cough.
· Your pet's general health changes.

Ask your vet...It is possible for an animal to have allergies. Maybe it is dust or it could just have a cold. I recently adopted a cat from a rescue shelter and she sneezed for a couple of weeks and since then has stopped so it was just a cold. If your puppy gets any worse or seems to be bothered you should seek a veterinarian's attention. Enjoy your new puppy!

Puppies are new to this world, able to get about, curious little investigators. They sniff everything. Some things don't agree with the nostrils so it is rejected and there goes the sneeze. It might be just one sneeze or six. Puppies are so cute. Doesn't matter what breed or if they are muts.

Remember they are much closer to the ground than we are and could find some irritants on the carpet or floor. Give your floors a good cleaning and if necessary spray Febreeze anti-allergen spray in areas where the dog is allowed. This should help with the sneezing. If it continues and the dog sounds congested, take it to a vet because it could have a cold.

It's probably nothing to worry about. My puppy does this a lot and it's usually after he's gotten a little hair in his nose...sometimes he gets them from his toys. Also if he's sniffed in an area where something has been sprayed in the air..that'll make him sneeze too.

ALot of animals sneese. Try to find out what is making your dog sneese. Then if it isnt in the house or anything like , if you have another poet that mgoith be it. Did one night it stay out ofthe house and get wet? Or did it get wte in the house and not get dreied. Well it is possible the dog has a cold. then you would like to keep him/her in the house .
