Who is really responsible for the spell check on PC's? My father named me. People and I do mean a lot of them call me every name but the correct one. Someone has to be hooked on phonics. The first three letters of my name is pronounced just like the joy in Joy to the World. How do you get Joselyn, Joceline, Jacqueline, Jocelyn out of JOYCELYN? It is often misspelled and very much mispronounced.

I'm with you, Joycelyn!
My name like yours is beautiful and I'm proud of it, grateful to my Mother for giving it to me and glad it's not a name shared by every other person.
It's not a wierd name, yet so many poeple can't pronouce it, I get called Anita, Anthony, Angela, Andrea, or nothing at all.
I'm sad to say that even my husband of 19 years doesn't use it and now my Mums isn't here I rarely hear my name called. :o(

You can add the spelling of your name to the list of words on your PC. When you do spellcheck and it comes up as misspelled then click "add" and then that won't happen anymore. I have family member that call me Melandie. There is no D in my name. I would say that people call you Joselyn because that name is more common. I have never heard your name before and read it as Joselyn until you corrected me. I understand your frustration and I feel your pain.

Maybe the person responsible for it, spells it in another way.
