I believe all civil aviation flights world wide in conformance to ICAO standards and recommended practices and regulations set by the local civil aviation authority of any country, whether commercial scheduled, non-scheduled or private flights need to have some CIQS clearance (Custom, Immigration, Quarantine and Security) before a flight is permitted. This clearances will be facilitated through the air carrier or operator. For private flights, you may have the convinience of not going through the same chaotic, inconvinient security screening process as what they usually do on scheduled commercial flights. Your private air operator will facilitate and help you. Better ask the details from your private air operator.

Screening usually takes place prior to the flight when traveling by private jet. You will need to submit passport information at least 3 days prior to the flight which will be searched against no-fly lists etc. Customs screening will take place at the point of entry into the country in which you are flying, and there may be fuel stops required for your journey which will have to be pre-approved as well.

You can get any flight time, cost and distance estimates at: http://www.jets.com/

Good luck with your flight.

No you only go through security with the airlines. If you rent a private jet you are allowed to bring cocaine, other drugs as well as machine guns or whatever weapons you want.
