I got a Sony Handy Cam Camcorder for Christmas this year and recorded a video onto a maxwell DVD-RW disc. I want to download the file to my myspace page but the file is not in the right format. it is a IFO file. How can I convert it into another format Ie: mp3, wav, etc.?

if possible, return it and get a minidv camera. it will save you tons of headaches in the future. If not, go to google and search for dvd to avi converter or dvd to mpeg or dvd to wmv, or vob to any of those formats. Then when converting, set it to a smaller size (320x240) and 15fps if possible, as this is what I had on my myspace page. If not, convert it, and then put it into windows movie maker or imovie and then compress it to a 320 by 240 wmv file or 320x240 quicktime file (if in imovie). BTW, mp3 and wav are sound formats in case you got confused. Hope this helps!
