Why would you want to snort it anyway? Just take it normally.

I take Effexor the normal way, by swallowing the pill. I would never snort it. But, if someone is a desperate drug addict and snorts it, I doubt they will get much of a high from it. This is just a guess since I don't know why people snort anything, but it seems as though what you snort through your nose would end up in your throat since all those passages are connected. The medicine will then likely go down your throat and enter your stomach to be dispersed into your blood stream. For me, anyway, there is no "high" produced from taking the medication. Mine is Effexor XR which releases into your system throughout the day so a more consistent level of the medication is in your system at any given time and not just when you first take it.

I'm sorry, but I don't take this question seriously at all. Don't snort Effexor, Prozac, Zoloft, or any other pill you get your hands on. It's idiotic, and possibly dangerous. Where the hell did you get this stupid idea from?
If this is the kind of stuff you come up with on your own, you need to go back to your doctor.

Somethings are great for snorting. I would not snort effexor. Just say NO

Actually, I've done this before. Made me pass out. Not a good idea. You think I was stupid when I decided to do it, you should see me now. Actually, it didn't really effect me too much. I was in a really bad possition and I wasn't thinking clearly and I thought, "Maybe that'll **** me up enough to relax or maybe it'll just kill me and get it over with already." It didn't really do anything. I had a bad headache the next day and my nose bled, but that was all. I realized how stupid I was, and checked myself into a mental hospital after that. I don't condone snorting things into your nose. I'm not a drug addict, but I used to do stupid things and that was one of them. Please don't follow in my footsteps. There is no telling what kind of irreversible damage I may have done and you might do. So just take it as perscribed for both our sakes.

This medication is a seritonin uptake, it helps to give U a sunny disposition, but only if taken as directed,it takes time to get into your system-one time doesn't do it so if U must snort find something else...

Come on now. You dont want to do that. Its not safe, and effexor is NOT something to play around with. . There is a reason it says to take by mouth.

It would put the drug in the snorter's bloodstream faster than ingesting the pill orally. Snorting drugs that were intended to be ingested orally could be very dangerous, and could cause serious liver, brain, and kidney problems if snorted in high doses.

Trust me, it doesn't do anything and it is feels very unpleasant. I wouldn't recommend it. HTH : )
