This is a complicated matter but it can be done, just like getting the audio from LPs. First you need to have an audio cassette player and a computer and a CD burner. You also need a stereo wire to run from your audio cassette stereo jack (head phone jack) to the IN audio jack on the back of your computer. Next get NERO and follow the instructions to transfer audio. It puts it in a wave file and from there you can burn it to your CD. It is a lot of work and time consuming, but yes it can be done.

Best way would be to use your computer. IF you have a desktop computer and it runs windows XP, it should have an analog line-in port on the side. Just hook a walkman up to the port using a cable with two of the microphone jack looking thingies.

Example:

the line in port on the sound card should have a symbol that looks like the one on the left side of the picture below:

It's the one colour coded blue ;)

Next, you must make sure the sound mixer on the computer is set to record from line-in:

Then use a free sound program like Audacity:

to record the sound.

Finally, after learning the sound program you choose and cleaning up the audio you can burn the music to CD using the CD program on the computer. (Roxio, Sonic, Nero, I'm sure there is also free open source software than can burn Cds these days too).

Hope this helped!
