The US is not a safe place to be in case of Global Warming. The Middle East is the best place to be in case of Global Warming.

Let's see what can happen: sea level raises about 6 meters - so better not be on the see shore. Temperature will raise, so better be far from the south, not in desert area. There will be millions of refuges from New York, Boston and Los Angeles area, no not ate these neighborhood.
Best is to be near to sweet water, area where you can grow your food. I would recommend Idaho, of in Colorado.

Away from the coast lines, probably north, you want to be somewhere you can grow your own food and hunt when society brakes down. Canada might be better than the US.
