I go all natural in the Winter, no make-up, no nail polish, etc. I just added a new body to my list. I'm not fat, I'm not skinny, I'm medium. Thanks to being on the step and double dutch team, I gained weight in places that wouldn't make me look over weight. I just need to know what's the best stomach excercise to do. My goal is to lose 40 pounds in five months, which is a healthy goal. Let me know.

The best exercise for getting a flat stomach

Did you know that the number one fitness quest is to have a flat stomach? Both men and women have problems in this area and that is why you see many different ab machines sold on tv.

However, you don't need any machines to really flatten your stomach, just simple exercise performed several times daily.

One note here: if you are 15 pounds or more over weight, your abs may be flat but they will be covered with FAT and will still appear to be jiggly. You'll need to also diet to remove the fat. Remember too that if you are over 40, there is a good chance that you will never have the abs you had wen you are 20 BUT, the exercise below is the best that you will find and I know that you will be extremely satisified with your results.

How can you tone up your belly without wreaking havoc on your back? Some abdominal strengthening exercises are tough to those whose back muscles are also weak. While a fit individual can do straight-leg sit-ups until the cows come home, someone not so fit may find that maneuver nearly crippling.

Instead, consider the Abdominal Curl. Lying flat on the floor, keep your knees bent and your arms across your chest. Rise up slowly, curling up each vertebra separately until you're at a 45-degree angle. This means your lower back should still be on the floor. Lower yourself slowly, which is a complementary exercise called the Curl Down.

According to fitness authority Charles E. Kuntzleman, Ed.D., who calls this "the best exercise you can do," this simple movement uses only the abdominal muscles. Because you keep your lower back firmly on the floor at all times, you don't involve weak back muscles that could be injured. Just be careful not to do this exercise with your arms behind your neck. The temptation is to pull on your neck, which could damage those muscles.

Your fat is a layer that is all over your body. You don't just lose stomach fat. If you lose fat, you lose it all over, and gaining is the same.
I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Ok.....all u need 2 do is situps and alot about 50 every 2 hours. and run, and diet eat proetin bars. I was like about 145 and know im 120 bi doin all those i wish u good luck= )
