The previous answer would work but you will have a lot of garbage files left on the disk. There are two ways to fix this. First is try to load your office disk and see if it will overwrite all the old files and if so, it will replace the missing file. The other way requires more work, but will leave a clean disk. That is to manually remove the office folders and files. If your Office Disk will allow yo to load just one of the programs then just reload the one that has the missing file. Also if you know the file and where it goes, you can do a search of the CD and find the file and copy it to the folder it belongs in. You may have to take it out of a cabinet first and expand it.

The uninstall file probably got deleted as well as more files, hence why you cant access office in the first place. Just reinstall it in a different directory..

You can get Office XP Service Pack 3 from this site, and that may repair the missing Access file.

Scroll down until you see Office XP Service Pack 3 - download now. Depending on your internet speed, it can take a while to download, but you probably need the service pack.
