Sounds to me that the bird is becoming mature. I have a male bird and a female bird in seperate cages and they both do this sort of behavior just in different ways. The female puts her tail up and her backside against the side of the cage and makes little squeeking noises and the male rubs his front of his belly on his toys making the same squeeky noises. It is natural behavior if that is what you are seeing.

Yeah, sounds like a breeding call to me. And 3 years sounds about right for that. My parrot didn't lay eggs until we had her for 5 years, and never had never showed signs of wanting to breed until then. We didn't even have a male bird and she still guarded those eggs like crazy. I wouldn't get to worked up about it.. prolly just sexually flustered =p. You can call your vet, someone at the office should be able to give you an opinion over the phone. =)

My conure Harely turned out to be a harlet. She is doing the same thing and turned out she is wanting to mate. So now I guess I have to find her a friend.
