I enjoy it. I think the why and how is pretty important though, especially since it looks like our sun is going to explode.

At first blush, it certainly seems that it would not matter, Sho-Nuff. “Who cares how I got here,” some may say, “ I’m here. What difference does it make if I was created or if I evolved?” But it could make a marked difference - how long we live, the way we live, the conditions under which we live. Is that really so?
Yes, it is so because our entire attitude toward life and the future is influenced by how we view the origin of life. And how life came to be here most assuredly will affect the future course of history and our place in it.
Think of it this way: our house burns down and we make a claim with our insurance company for insurance proceeds. Now how the insurance company proceeds with that insurance claim is definitely influenced by its view of the origin of that fire. If evidence strongly suggests that it was arson, the insurance company will proceed with that probability in mind. But if there is every indication that the origin of the fire was accidental – say lightning – the insurance company will not take the same steps that it would if it were viewing the fire as a possible arson.
Our view of how we got here can make quite a difference indeed.

The invention of the universe is a question of "Does God exist?", while the inventor of the stapler is just that (some person who invented the stapler).
God existing is a big deal, because when you have a God you have a Judge who judges sin. Then you have an issue of Heaven and Hell.

The things you have mentioned with exception of the universe can be positively linked to a particular person. The universe is an infinite thing that we cannot even begin to grasp the boundaries of. Therefore to try to limit the boundaries of it's creator is unfathomable. I will not argue it with you though as I know that you would not be swayed by any argument I could come up with, so I will agree that we should simply enjoy it together and I will thank God for it on my own with no pressure on you to do the same.

Well, it might just make a smidgen of difference if it was just sitting there in the road, as it were, and we decided to pick it up and use it...
Or if all we have of it is a very short term leasehold from the owner.
Personally I go with the first option, but I don't consider it a null question.

Friend, if this life was all there is, then many many questions and discussions would be unnecessary. But the bible clearly teaches - and millions of believers through the ages will agree - that this life is only a prelude for a greater life - and judgment - to come. What we do, how we live, who we thank, what we say - all become important if we acknowledge that we will stand before God and give an account of our lives....
god bless

The universe and a stapler are not equal. You do a fine demonstration of how religion destroys values and logic.

We can live without cars and without staplers, if we really had to.
But try living without a universe for a while.
Pretty impossible, I think.
