Please let me try to interpret your possibly excellent question.

You might be saying that we Christians get so caught up with pie in the sky, by and by, when we die, that we are not enjoying life as we live it, right? You have a point. Jimmy Swaggart sang a song called, "Leaving On My Mind." It is a very depressing, downbeat version of "Aint Gonna Need This House No Longer." Basically it's saying, "What's the use of caring? Everything is falling apart, but I'm going to die soon, so why bother?" Oh, how that attitude chokes me. It sounds downright suicidal.

Jesus said (here I go quoting the Bible) "I have come so that you may have life, and have it abundantly." Jesus doesn't want us to get all gloomy-gus and not enjoy our life on Earth while awaiting our Heavenly home. We really are blessed. We are offered happiness now AND in the next life.
