I applied on my own. My application was accepted and given a file-number. I Paid processing fees for all members on their call. Since then, a black out of any information. Only information that I see on their official website is "In Process" and " We started processing your application on 9 November, 2002". Nothing else. No clue about how much time my application will take to be decided. On e-mails in this regard, they say " your application is sent to concerned department..."

It totally sucks... but right now this is how long the lazy bastards are taking to process applications... and no you can't talk to any one about it cause they don't care...

one day when you have totally given up hope you will find a letter in your mail box saying you have 90 days to send additional info... after that and medical it is smooth sailing...

Dear Friend,
Do not be heart broken please. If you are really passionate about migrating to Canada, then wait a little longer as your case will come through very soon.
You are not the only one, as there are many others you are awaiting their final decision and to be frank, i was one of them few months back!

I believe you have applied from either of these countries, India or Sri Lanka, or Bangledesh or Pakistan (if so than your case will take some time). I am too from one of these countries as mentioned and it took my case approx, 53 months which is almost 4 and a 1/2 yrs of wait. I applied in November 2001 and got my Immigrant / Landing Paper in April 2006.
I was sincere and my passion to migrate to Canada for a better life was so great than Al-Mighty God did give me a immigrant visa after all.
I do not know whether your interview will be waived or not, as mine was waived, but keep doing job research as much as you can as in the event if you are called for an interview, than it will carry some points towards your application. And keep a record of your job or business research.

My case was filed in November 2001.

My interview was waived in November 2005
My medicals were done in December 2005
My Landing fee or permanent residence fee was paid in February 2006
MY Immigrant visa was issued in April 2006.

So you can see for yourself that between Nov 2001 and Nov 2005, nothing happened and i was so helpless but than all came fast.
Good luck friend and do contact me on my email "chinoy99@yahoo.ca". (send me your resume, so i can then make a assessment as to when you may expect your interview and visa thereon) I am not a expert but will able to judge it somehow.

There website is very good, but it will keeping on showing " your application is in process". Ignore this.
Cheers.
