Seriously think about it.

Trees exist. Christians believe they exist. Atheists believe they exist. Trees work in a certain way that is agreed upon by both Christians and atheists. Trees, in addition to other organisms, provide us with the oxygen necessary for life.

We all agree on all of these things.

Can't we just enjoy them?

Why argue about what put them here?

It's a bloody stupid argument.

At first blush, it certainly seems that it would not matter, Sho-Nuff. “Who cares how I got here,” some may say, “ I’m here. What difference does it make if I was created or if I evolved?” It could make a marked difference - how long we live, the way we live, the conditions under which we live. Is that really so?

Yes, it is so because our entire attitude toward life and the future is influenced by how we view the origin of life. And how life came to be here most assuredly will affect the future course of history and our place in it.

Think of it this way: our house burns down and we make a claim with our insurance company for insurance proceeds. Now how the insurance company proceeds with that insurance claim is definitely influenced by its view of the origin of that fire. If evidence strongly suggests that it was arson, the insurance company will proceed with that probability in mind. But if there is every indication that it was accidental – say lightning – the insurance company will not take the same steps that it would if it were viewing the fire as a possible arson.

Our view of how we got here can make quite a difference indeed.

Friend, if this life was all there is, then many many questions and discussions would be unnecessary. But the bible clearly teaches - and millions of believers through the ages will agree - that this life is only a prelude for a greater life - and judgment - to come. What we do, how we live, who we thank, what we say - all become important if we acknowledge that we will stand before God and give an account of our lives....

god bless

Yes we agree on those things, but the One whom we believe put them there did something great for you-Salvation. All we try to do is tell you the Good News, its up to you to decide whether to believe it. I've never argued about what/who put them there. I didn't know people did that.

I'll offer a deal. I cannot convince you that there is a God, and you will never convince me that there isn't one. Can we not attack each other and each let the other live according to our own principles? I won't jam little pamphlets down your throat, and you won't make fun of my beliefs. Then there is no argument. Good deal?

Yes, I enjoy the creation. But I do thank the creator. I know Him, He is Jesus. This is the difference.

....sure is stupid.... but everyone wants a sense of security and without it people need to look without instead of within. I believe people expect their beliefs to make them secure but alas........
