My question is, if there is any medical insurance plan out there that will cover accutane. If there is, about how much would you have to pay out of your pocket for the accutane? Also....does the veteran hospital have a dermatologist section? Is there any way I can get accutane thru them? Please dont write back saying i need to take this instead or reminding me about the side effects. I had take accutane before, and its the only thing that has ever worked on me. Thank you for your time....

I've used accutane w/ insurance coverage, I probably would not have unless it had covered, as you know it's very expensive. my cost out of pocket was $30 each month, so look into your vetrans facility and ins. plan.

There are medical insurance plans that will help cover it. Since I have never been on accutane, I am not sure of which ones they are. My fiance was on it, though, so I know it was definitely covered.

Be really careful with accutane, as you know. ODing can cause infertility, and doctors aren't always careful with how much they prescribe.
