Try a rheumatologist....I was undergoing pain management for a spine fusion and he decided I has other "hidden" health issues since I was very similar to your condition. My rheumatologist ran a multitude of tests and discovered that I had a condition called "Polymyalgia Rheumatica and Fibromyalgia". These conditions are rare in young people but, it does occur. Since I am being treated with Prednisone (various strengths) depending on flare ups. I have had better days...I also take hydro and xanax and Effexor XR. These help...Sometimes, it takes a TEAM of specialists to really take an interest in your case...I go to a teaching hospital for this reason. The input is more personable and flexible than when I was an individual patient with a private practice. New ideas and multiple questions and very thourogh and coordinated records have helped me in the long run. This medical center has saved my life recently when two private drs told me that I had no problems based on the basic test performed. Two days later, I was rushed into emergency surgery for a ruptured bowel that should have been removed weeks before. I almost died, I spent weeks in ICU and CCU and the Cardiac Care Telemetry Unit before I was discharged. Through the various scans, MRIs and other testing, it was discovered that I have a lung nodule, kidney cyst and other problems that now are being surgically removed because of the seriousness. Also, I did seek help from a pschy team to help with the depression, pain management and anxiety caused throughout the process of trying to discover a "healthier" me. It does help...Good luck!

So what is your question? Unless a MD or other professional comes to this board, we can't help you. I am 39 as well and it sucks that you are in constant pain.
