i can give you a hair tip that looks kinda like dreads but not..
i use to do it back in the day..
put your hair into about a hundred little pony tails.. about a square inch of hair.. all over your head.. it use to take my mom an hour or two to do it.. its easier if you have someone else do it that way it looks even and such...
it looks like you have dreads cause your hair is all clumped.. but its not permant

lots of hairspray and hair wax, then do a random type braid or twist and mold into dreads

if you twist the hair instead on locking it; they will resemble dreads, get you a little hair gel and twist away!
