Most of the bleeding should have stopped by now. To help the site heal, get a teabag (not herbal, regular tea) and soak the bag in tap water (NOT hot...warm/cool is good). Squeeze out the water so that the bag is damp and place the bag(s) on top of the hole where the tooth was and gently bite down. The tea actually will help to clot the blood and heal the area. Do not bite down hard because you don't want to rip a hole in the bag and risk getting a piece of tealeaf in the opening. Also, do NOT use a straw to drink because this will pull out any clot that has formed and yo will continue to bleed. If you smoke DON'T!! Smoking will cause you to develop dry socket which is an infection that is extreamly painful. While you are healing, a good choice (if it is available) is Carnation Instant Breakfast. Drink it right out of the glass (remember, NO STRAWS!) and it will help keep the vitamins in your body that you need so you don't get rundown. If you are still bleeding by 10:00am tomorrow, you need to call your oral surgeon and inform him.

i'm sure (mild) bleeding isn't something to be too concerned about. when i had this done, they told me to bite on a cold, wet tea bag and that somehow helps it stop. if it doesn't stop after 30 minutes, you should call the doctor back.

Yes, it is normal. You should not have excruciating pain though with the mild bleeding. If you do, then you may have dry socket.

Yes this is normal. Don't forget your warm salt water rinses. And no using a straw (no sucking) which might make you bleed more.

yeah, they cut pretty deep so no wonder. you might bleed until a couple days before you get your stitches out.
