then why do you muslims always attack me for leaving islam?
(my emil is full of hate messages from muslims who say that i will end up in hell. some say they will find and kill me)

anyone who says that is not a real muslim... we beleive that you have a right to choose whichever religion you want... u have our blessing... islam only asks that you are informed of what it is really about, and what it beleives in... and i think that if you read the quaran you will find out that islam is love.. and jihad is pure and alive in the soul of all humans.. not like al kaada shows it ...
it is to defend the world agains tirants in God's name....

no compulsion in Islam meaning u cannot be a muslim against ur well. u have to fully believe in it to be considered a muslim, but one cant force another to be a muslim.
2:256 There is no compulsion in religion, for the right way is clearly from the wrong way. Whoever therefore rejects the forces of evil and believes in God, he has taken hold of a support most unfailing, which shall never give way, for God is All Hearing and Knowing.
16:82 But if they turn away from you, (O Prophet remember that) your only duty is a clear delivery of the Message (entrusted to you).
ur friends tell u ur going to hell, they did not make it up, it is also mentioned in quraan that whoever was a muslim and leaves islam will face a very harsh punishment and put in hell fire as they knew the truth but ignored it. However, ur friends actions are not right, but i understand their feeling and their believing what theyre sayin is true. i agree with them. but i say to u, think abt it. why did u leave islam? is it cuz u find other religions or no religion easier for u in life. come on, life is gonna end 1 day or another and all u will be left with is ur religion and ur good or bad deeds in life. u dont wanna lose ur afterlife cuz of life's pleasure. trust me, Islam is so beautiful if u just follow it and understand it the right way. Read more, go to mosques, meet up with ur muslim friends and talk abt it.

most likely the main reason why your e-mail is laden with such threats are due to your insolence towards the last religion of God.

and for what it's worth, islam is a religion of peace and compassion. this is a view held my many scholars of Islam, be them Muslim or non-Muslims, western or eastern.
In addition, Catholic Catechism signed by the late Pope John Paul II even include Islam as another mean of salvation.

it somewhat is a line from the Quran, yet they the two are not conscious or overlook to describe that line has been abrogated via the verse of the sword, Quran 9:5. there is easily compulsion in Islam now.

firstly, it's a great disappointment and regret that you're no longer in faith of islam. islam is the true religion, which mentions Torah, Bible and Quran in its holy book of Quran. it also mentions about Jesus and Moses as the prophets of Allah, in serving Allah to bring mankind to follow His path. furthermore, Muhammad, His last prophet was sent to complete this religion. so, what more doubtful can one be of the truthfulness of islam. it's ok. repent, and Allah will always open the door for you. amin.
