Hmmm, Baking Soda! thats the oldie. In the us we have Tom's of Maine brand all natural toothpaste though the company was just sold to a big conglomerate, the toothpaste is still natural though! and we also have Lots of other choices, particularly at a supermarket chain called Whole Foods. The branch stripped of it's bark that can be used as a toothbrush is from the Neem treem and can be found easily in India! Peroxide will keep a mouth clean, almost too clean, it can be poisonous and should be used diluted if at all.

Hi - there's something even more natural than toothpaste - its a kind of a twig. I have been using one for some time but unfortunately don't have the packet so can't tell you the name. I am sure you would be able to find them online. They come in a couple of flavours and are just a twig. You fray the end and then rub each tooth. They work exceptionaly well.

Health shops sell a few kinds of toothpaste that are more natural - different flavours like fennel - and without the chemical content.
Baking soda gets rid of stains but doesn't do much for the gums and gargle with salt water kills some germs but neither taste too good!

Tom's of Maine (without flouride) can be purchased at almost any grocery store or drug store. Cost is almost double that of regular toothpaste but it works good. Baking soda mixed with peroxide (made into a paste) works well also but most people hate the taste and texture of it. Tom's of Maine is mint flavored and resembles regular toothpaste.

baking soda is a natural alternative. If you go to a health food store, they should have a natural toothpaste.

Small sticks of Eucalyptus can be used to brush the teeth. Ethiopians use it as their traditional tooth brush. It forces you to brush every teeth one by one and helps keep straight teeth or shape teeth for children.
