Not as easy a question as all that, is it? For openers, you need to decide what is the good thing to do. That means you must have a sense of ethics, moral values, and you must apply them to a particular situation. Then you must have the courage and fortitude to do what you have decided is the right thing, even when it is more difficult, and possibly less popular, than doing the wrong thing.
It takes a sense of responsibility, of honor, of self-worth that will not permit you to do what you know to be wrong.

what is good? my suggestion is if it gives you any feelings other than joy such as guilt, remorse or whatever, don't do it. if deep down it makes you feel bad even in some small way, it can't be right for you. being "bad" catches up with you in the end and causes lots of regrets misery and sorrow. i know from experience.
