You can talk about absolutely anything! God wants to hear from you and He wants you to ask Him things! It doesn't matter if you talk to Him about riding your bike or the movie you watched! When I ran out of things to say, I didn't get groanings from the spirit (at least I don't think so)...so I just ended off my prayers and hoped I had something else to say the next day!

At THAT point, you have come to the end of your prayer. Bring it to a close, and go about your other regular daily activities. Most Christians end their prayer with, "For we ask these mercies in the name of Jesus. Amen" or something to that effect.

I don't know anywhere in the Bible where it says that the Holy Spirit "gives groanings" . The following verse does not say nor imply that WE groan.

"Rom 8:26 And in like manner the Spirit also helpeth our infirmity: for we know not how to pray as we ought; but the Spirit himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered;" Note the last three words.

When a Christian is baptized with the Holy Spirit he receives the ability to pray in tongues or in the Spirit. When you pray in tongues your spirit prays (1 Cor 14:14) and the Holy Spirit gives you the utterances. The Holy Spirit helps you to pray sometimes when the occasion demands it by giving you groanings (Rom 8:26). When you pray in tongues the Holy Spirit is helping you to pray in God's will. In Ephesians 6:18 the Apostle Paul exhorted us when we put on the whole armour of God to pray always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit. We will run short of words if we want to pray for a long time. Praying in tongues helps us to pray without ceasing. But you need to be baptized in the Holy Spirit to do so.

well i dont know about others, but after my prayer is done, i do have a quite conversation with God. i first and formeost ask bounty and goodness for my parents and that their sins should be forgiven and mistakes forgotten by God and that they should be blessed, i then pray for my brother, relatives and my hubby too.

i ask God to bless each and every person in this world irrespective of who they are. and i pray that God should give us love, peace, patience and the courage to stay as ONE at times of crisis & tribulations. and that He should help us help those who cannot help themselves. and i pray that God should give me the strength and courage to be a good human so that i can serve my family, my community and my country better.

If you are praying in disbelief, you will always run out of things to pray about.
Remember that God knows what we need before we ask.
Why ask for what you should have faith that God will already give?
Your prayers should be in thanksgiving, and praise.
In these you should never be unceasing, and you should never run out of these.
God bless.

Do not pray like the HYPOCRITES, who pray out in the streets for everyone to see, and who BABBLE on and on, for they heve each received their reward allready......For God knows your heart, He knows what you need before you even ask of it.
So instead, Jesus taught, Pray like this...
Our Father, who art in Heaven...
The Lords Prayer...
But ask Him for anything you need, I believe Talk to Him and Listen, and if you RUN OUT OF WORDS, well maybe you are just going on to much...And you should really think of what you want and need, and like it says in the Bible, HE ALLREADY KNOWS YOUR NEEDS before you ask.

The desire to pray is a prayer in itself......Remember this...God knows everything, long before u ask it..pray it...when i have problems in saying what i really want to pray about.."wording"..I just say this.....Father God, you know my heart, please help me get through this day, you know me better than myself.
you know what i'm trying to pray for. If this is your will, I know that you will bless me, I ask you this In Jesus' Name....Amen....God Bless

Yes, sometimes I get this feeling. I start saying "Dear Lord" with so many things on mind I would like to say then I find my lips sealed. I go with the flow. I do not think or force myself to say what I cannot utter. If I keep repeating 'My Lord, My Lord, My Lord" then fine. If I completely keep silent and leave my heart connect with Allah, then OK.

Follow your heart. Allah Hears you anyway; even Hears your silence.

Peace
