There's not enough benefit to justify moving up to the 400D. Right now i'm adding to my selection of lenses, lighting and other accessories. If my business for still photography picks up I'll consider upgrading, but I'll be moving a lot further up the lline than the 400D.

As far as prints go. 6Mp is overkill for most applications. I can make my own prints up to 13"x44". If I need something larger, I have a couple of different print companies I can go to that have 72" wide printers - think life size prints - and can mount print on a wide variety of materials.

Just got a 400D. It really is good, and not just for the extra definition. The interior self-cleaning mechanism is a very nice feature, and the larger back screen makes it very easy to use and review your work.

Pay the extra. Its worth it.

400 D has a lot of improvements, but I believe it does not worth the extra money. You should instead consider to buy new or another gama of lens. (Wide angle, Macro, Zoom).

With 300D you are already able to shot excelent pictures.

what features does it have that you want?

-are you not able to clean your sensor if it gets dust?
-are you printing huge prints that need more mp?
-do you need any new lenses instead?

i think it would be better spent on flash/lens
