I've been there girl so many times. The best thing to do is to actually be honest about your feelings, because if you're not, you will end up sending the wrong signals and cause an adverse reaction. Try to slowly and sneakily tell the person of your feelings, more and more every time you interact with them. If you don't, then the person will never know that you actually like them.
Honesty girl is the gold.

tell them you like them because if u sit around and wait they will get taken away it's the 21st century girls are aloud to ask men out. But.. Crushes may also just mean that just a crush you know what i mean u like something its there u want it so badly until u get it u think um why did i want this again? You may have this crush cuz u cant have it and if u do get it u may not want it any more. nether the less there's no harm in trying. ya got to kiss a few frogs to find your prince

Tell the person. If you dilly-dally someone else may beat you to it and be the first person in your crush's life. This has happened and you don't let it happen to you

i will express my thoughts but it has to be subtly. really, if we do overboard, it will scare them off :=( don't ever repeat my mistakes. more words more mistakes, create more doubts than sincerity.
