All Muslims are supposed to be non denominational and those that put themselves into sects are going against the teachings. Please only follow the Quran and Sunnah do not add to or take anything away. We are all Muslims simple as that.

look friend i'm a muslim too but you know in islam we don't have a happy new year or a halloyen or else you should know that islam didn't tell about some thing particular to do but for example on the day of aladha eid the 10th day of muharram muslims used to sacrifice a sheep or else that is to share 1of3 of it with friends another 1to poor and the last for u we don't have enough money to spend so we give some money to do some thing good on that day and we celebrate it that we used to eat meat on breakfast
by the way (assalamu alikum) means peace upon you

Wa aleikum salam

We dont give gifts to each other i heard this from you for the first time :) The Sunni Muslims do not celebrate Muharram, but the devout Muslims among them observe fast because The Prophet enjoined on the Muslims to observe fast on the 10th day of Muharram. If you ask me i fast too and i think its the best gift for me.

Peace and blessings

It isn't necessarily a gift giving holiday, we do not typically celebrate the Islamic new year. The Shia do brutal stuff, please don't go this way. Follow the path of the Prophet as this is the only way of Islam that will be accepted. I would say just make your prayers and be kind to people. If you really wish you can fast, by making intention before Dawn that you wish to please God with your obedience to increase your faith. We can discuss this, I have been trying to get into direct contact with you. Please check your e-mail, if you add your MSN i'd be very happy.

Thanks

Peace Be Unto You

I celebrate the day by praising Prophet Muhammad, praying for Allah's peace to be upon him for all the suffering he has been through to convey what has been revealed to him to us as he got it.

You could fast on that day as well as far as I know.

I have not heard about the gist giving thing but Prophet Muhammad urged us to give each other gifts as they bring people closer and help spread love but no certain occasions were mentioned.

Peace

nicely the Muslims who shop on with the coaching of the prophet peace and blessing be upon him and his finished lineage.....extraordinary that Muslims are actually not following it and doing something different whilst nevertheless categorizing themselves to be Muslims following god. nicely we basically have fun 3 Eids (trip journeys) the 1st is Eid alfitr it somewhat is sturdy after Ramadan the 2d is Eid aldha it somewhat is the 2d Eid around the time of Hajj (pilgrimage) the third is each and every Friday wherein we positioned on our ultimate fabric and positioned our ultimate perfumes different than 3 we don't have fun something or perhaps check out as a trip as for occasion thanksgiving and birthdays......for birthdays inspite of the shown fact that we basically have one occasion it somewhat is the time while the newborn is born the guy invites each and every physique to a feast.
