Im 16 and my gf is 15, we've been datin' 4 over 9 months now. i heard that was a long time 4 a high school relationship and i wanted 2 no y'all's opinions

Well first of all I want to commend you for taking the initiative and asking this question. It sounds like you and your gf really care about each other. It is a truth that normally high school relationships do not seem to last very long. However I have found that the kids of today seem to be taking their relationships more seriously and are learning from their parents or the parents of their friends and not making the same mistakes. It really all depends on how mature you are and if you really care for each other. The only determination of how long you will last is the two of you. Certainly most parents and adults would say that you cant be serious in high school. But I have personally seen many of my friends teenagers and their bf or gf stay together and go on to marry. Don't worry to much about it take it in stride. If you two want to be together by all means stay together. If you find that you are not comfortable being together or you want to date others then do so. Its all up to you. Good luck.

You are going to have to understand that life has no time frames or boundries---good stuff of any kind is only good one day at a time--you have to work on relationships---as kids you should be thinking about school first---dating is OK but how will you ever find out how the rest of the people interact and what will you do when it is finally over---cool you tool---there is no rush---take it easy. You're not out to break any records----you should be meeting lots of people at this age. Sure, its nice to have a long relationship--but I doubt if you know all that's involved and what being tied down can lead to. You only think you have found love. You have no idea---but if you won't admit it, you'll just keep going until you finally do break up and the whole world will have to stop because you two will boo hoo to everyone about it. Well, I've seen some that only last 1 week and some that last 2 weeks and a few that last a month or maybe a little more. The longest relationship I knew of was about 2 months. If they're any longer they're on and off relationships.

I've seen relationships that last only a day, mostly it is the same people who keep up the " Only dating for a few weeks trend". They just want to feel loved so they get addicted to it and their only releif for a broken heart is a new relationship. Mos treal relationships last at least one month.

2 days as they are childish and dumb as they never work an they always end in heart ack. As my partner for 3 weeks went with me to the year 10 brake up left with my best friend thats what a high school relationship is all about really

well my longeste high school relationship was 3 days under a month... but then i know sum that were together for 2 years and others that were like 4 months... it varys quite a bit... although that is good... so good luck =)

it all depends my highschool relationship was 3 and a half years i had a younger girlfriend im 20 now and she is 17. but we started dating when she was 14 i love the girl to death but senior year kicked in and she let her head swell. now as of now we are not together just dont let senior year mess with you its not all its meant to be and it deff isnt something that you cant have a relationship through

Its on how serious you guys are about each other...... as long as you guys don't get diverted away from studies.... but i pray to god that you both never break up 'cos 9 months is no joke.... as some one said it might even last forever!!!! Its on how much both of you are committed to each other basically!!
