Anyone know of any songs about breaking up with a guy but also losing him as your best friend? (Aside from No Doubt's "Don't Speak" and Darryl Worley's "I Miss My Friend"). My boyfriend and I were best friends before dating and now not only have I lost my boyfriend, but I lost my best friend in the process...

ive been in this situation... and i just listened to pure love songs and sobbed... i ended up seriously depressed for months and then i heard the saying "never frown becaus u never know who is falling in love with ur smile" this affected me because i realised that i can still b happy... i talked to the guy and we became friends and now i am bak on the market and happier than ever! i dont know any songs but dont get to down about it because even tho it doesnt seem like it now there are other guys out there 4 u! ordinary world by duran duran is a good song but not about a break up but uh it has "where is my friend when I need you most gone away" and i like that part and the song overall. bleh
and theres perfect by the smashing pumpkins but it's more of a false comforting hope that they'll meet again and things will be perfect time so i doubt you want that one but i love the song and hopefully you do to. http://www.lyricalcontent.com/1343.html

Hey, sorry I don't know any songs like that, but honestly you should listen to happy songs. Why can't you still be best friends with ur ex-boyfriend. Nothing has changed, but ur romantic feelings towards each other. I bet if u talk to him he'd wanna be best friends with you. Don't listen to those sad songs! Life is too short to waste!
