If he told you he loved you and then said it was a joke then he probably was uncomfortable saying it. But that doesnt neccessarily mean he doesnt love you. The best thing is to have a serious conversation about it. Start by saying" I want to talk about something with you seriously with all the jokes aside" Ask him then if he loves you and if he doesnt respond right away say that you love him. I hope everything works out for ya.

a joke? that sounds kind of cruel. don't mean to be preachy, but before telling him that you love him first consider carefully if you really do love him. the consequences of telling someone you love him can be very terrible, especially if you later find you were mistaken about it. you can't take back your words. and what sort of love do you mean? a crush or do you wish to one day marry him?
to answer the question, I think meet up with him one day and eventually turn the conversation to a serious mood, then tell him that you love him. make sure he understands that you are perfectly serious about this so he won't take you lightly. like don't giggle or joke about it as if it's a game. best wishes anyway!

Jokes are half-meanted, i guess. Or maybe he is also having a problem like you, he doesn't know how to say I love you to his loved one. So maybe he tried but it didn't turn out like what he expected. Just give it some time, I'm sure it will work out.

hey, girl..i know this'll sound nuts, but do me a favor: Don't tell him that u love him.. Show it..
i've heard many people advise "jus tell him or u'll regret"..but i dunno.. if u badly need to tell him about ur feelins, i'd still prefer u using the word 'like' other than 'love'.. with time, n false commitments, the words "i love you" have become so cheap..so easy to say.. i know i sound like im against a lotta people, but don't u agree with me?.. i mean, why don't YOU make ur words precious?... why not save those words for someone u're about to marry?.. then u'll really mean it.. i guess u wouldn't like marryin a guy who've said "i love you" to 8 other girls... then u won't trust him when he says "i love you" at the altar,..right?.. i guess u've experienced this.. he told u he loved u.. and u ain't even sure he really does...
i guess it's tough to let ur feelins well up inside of u.. but as much as he wants to hear those words from ur lips, maybe it's better for him if u don't..it might hurt him for a while, but u can say that u ain't gonna say it until u've proven it..
why not spend more of ur time with him?..find about about him..his strengths AND weaknesses.. cuz u have to know that when u love someone, u accept him as who he is.. NOT expecting to change him in anyway..cuz personalities don't really change at all.. love is knowin the bad stuff, n willin to put up with it anyway..forever..
in the end, YOU also deserve someone who really meant it when he said "i love you"..someone who's ready to accept you for who you are..nothin more, nothin less..just you..
n be willin to put up with ur flaws n imperfections..no matter what..

were the same problem sweet , i dont know how i will tell to him , also he ignore me , but before , he used to greet me every time we meet , maybe some 1 ruin me so , he just dont mind me

maybe he said it was a joke so he didn't get embarrassed if you didn't feel the same way. tell him how you feel.

If he says that was a joke,,then u'll be sure and will be able to go on with ur life without doubts.
